Man murdered after elder brother elopes with neighbour

NEW DELHI: Two men were arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death in southeast Delhi after his elder brother reportedly eloped with the sister of one of the accused. The incident was reported on Thursday when the victim's body was found inside an open cargo container near railway tracks in Okhla. The deceased has been identified as Babloo, a native of Uttar Pradesh. The accused have been identified as Naseem Raja and Aman.

On interrogation of the accused it has been found that the accused are natives of Hardoi district in UP. Naseem's sister and Babloo's elder brother Israel had gone missing at the same time from Hardoi and had eloped and were untraceable since then. Naseem had lured Babloo with the hope that he might be knowing the whereabouts of his sister and Israel, said additional commissioner of police (southeast) Ajay Chaudhry.

Naseem and his friend Aman had bought a kitchen knife to persuade Babloo, said cops. They consumed liquor together near the container depot. After getting tipsy, Naseem started interrogating Babloo. However, Babloo denied any knowledge about the whereabouts of his brother Israel and Naseem s sister. Naseem lost his temper. While Aman caught hold of Babloo, Naseem stabbed him repeatedly. They dumped the Babloo s dead body inside the open container after killing him, added Chaudhry.

The blood stained clothes and the knife used in the crime was recovered at the instance of the accused, said cops. Babloo had been found with four stab wounds on his neck and face.

The deceased had been living in Harkesh Nagar on rent along with his younger brother Harun. Both the brothers worked at embroidery sheds at different factories in the area. On Wednesday, Babloo had taken leave to stay at home and buy something for his wife and child back home in Hardoi. When his brother, Haroon returned home after work in the evening, he was unable to locate Babloo. His mobile phone was also unreachable. Local inquiry revealed that Babloo had been last seen with the accused, who lived in the same area.
