NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old class twelfth student committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in the capital, police said on Saturday.
"Kiran was staying at her house in Sagarpura area of west Delhi. Her body was found by a neighbor, who informed the police on Friday night," said a senior police officer.
Kiran's parents had gone to attend a marriage in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district.
The reason of such an extreme step is yet to be ascertained, the officer added.
