NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday met Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde for a review of the law and order situation in the capital.
Dikshit drove to Shinde's residence immediately after presiding over an emergency Delhi Cabinet meeting which expressed serious concerns about the prevailing situation.
The Cabinet discussed the situation prevailing in the city following violent protests at India Gate against the gang rape of a young girl in a moving bus last Sunday.
Sources said the Cabinet felt that concrete measures must be taken to instill confidence among woman in the city.
