Fake IAF pilot dupes many with job offers

NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force has complained about a person, who has been posing as deputy military secretary, fighter pilot and has allegedly duped people by promising them jobs. The Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.

The accused identified himself as squadron leader Aniket Roy. During investigations, IAF found that he had two profiles as IAF officer on Facebook. However, the special investigation branch of IAF found that there was no such officer in the IAF.

"The imposter has posted a lot of messages and posed himself as working in highest office of Government of India. It is evident that individual is an imposter posing as an IAF officer with the malicious intention to defraud people... It is requested that a case may be registered and offender be brought to justice for spoiling the image of not only the IAF, but also the highest office of this country," stated the FIR. Police have registered a case under 66 Information Technology Act.
