GHAZIABAD: Panic triggered in Indirapuram area on Thursday night when a woman was allegedly abducted and fell off from a moving white colour Honda City car in a bid to escape from her tormentor, the police said that initial reports stated that there were four miscreants later in the night the senior cops confirmed that the abductor was the vicitm's husband, who was detained by Noida police, when he entered in the Noida while evading police arrest.

"The incident took place on Thursday night at 11 pm when the victim was roaming around Jaipuriya mall, meanwhile the victim's husband Amit Kasana pulled her inside his Honda City car. The victim raised alarm and resisted to get out of the car. Locals roaming in the area started chasing the car and some local policemen also started chasing. The victim fell off the car near a petrol pump in the area while accused fled from the scene towards Noida," said Ghaziabad senior superintendent of police Nitin Tiwari.

"The victim, who sustained severe injuries was rushed to a nearby private hospital while the police alerted the neighbouring police and the accused detained by sector 58 police station staff in Noida. The accused has owned up his crime. We are lodging an FIR," Tiwari said initially there were reports that the woman was abducted by four persons and then pushed from the moving car. "The victim lives in Vaishali area and prima facie it is a matter of domestic violence," the official said.
