While the men have been booked for abduction and rape, Pushpa (40) is accused of abduction. Police have also added sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in the FIR. The 12-year-old girl was reported missing a few days ago. After her parents complained to police, raids were carried out at various places in Delhi and Haryana.
During investigation, police learned that the girl was last seen with Pushpa, who lives in the same locality. She was rescued after police were tipped off about the accused's presence in Baba Faridpuri Colony in the Anand Parbat area on Thursday.
The girl in her statement to police said Rajesh and Gulab, residents of Anand Parbat, had talked her into accompanying them. They raped her at home and later asked Pushpa to find a buyer for her, a police source said.
Pushpa told police she had struck a deal for Rs 1 lakh with a transporter from Madhya Pradesh who was looking for a girl to marry.
Police are now probing the involvement of this trio with another gang busted in southwest Delhi.
