Bulletproof guard posts for Metro stations

NEW DELHI: Security of the Delhi Metro is being made bulletproof with 200 'morchas' (fortified boxes) which will be placed for CISF troops at the stations.

The CISF has placed six 'morchas' at three prominent stations, in the preliminary stage — four at Rajiv Chowk Metro station and one each at the Malviya Nagar and Saket Metro stations. A total of 200 'morchas' will be placed in all the 134 Metro stations.

"The 'morchas' give our personnel better protection and strategic edge to manoeuvre during an attack or emergency," CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.
