Nido Tania 'killers' custody extended

NEW DELHI: A court here on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of four people allegedly involved in Arunachal Pradesh student Nido Tania killing case till April 7.

Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Pritam Singh extended the custody of accused Pawan, Sunder, Sunny, Uppal and Farman for 14 days after they were produced before him. The four were arrested in February and booked under the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for making racist remarks against Tania.

Tania died in hospital on January 30, a day after being beaten up by several shopkeepers in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area following an argument over his appearance and clothing.
