Times of India hosts 'Connections' at the Shri Ram Center

Europe meets India: Connections, an international performing festival, presented by the Times of India at the Shri Ram Center, was recently hosted in the capital. The opening day saw some great perfromances by a group of international dancers from the Opera of Paris and the Spanish Dance Company. A total of seven European and four Indian artistes gave a spectacular performance and entertained the audience with their different dance styles.

A new kind of creativity: The festival focussed on the relationship between India and different nations, cultures, artistes, audiences, the past, the present and the future. "The emphasis of the festival was on a 'new kind of creativity', through innovative and fruitful exchanges around a common language - art," said Rukmini Chatterjee, an Indo-French choreographer, and the organizer of the festival.
