NEW DELHI: A policeman posted with the crime branch in outer Delhi was beaten up by a group of men while he was heading home on Saturday night. He had to be admitted to a hospital following the assault. Three of the assailants were caught when they came to assault him again in the wee hours. Police suspect personal rivalry behind the incident.
The incident was reported from Dataram Colony in Rohini's Sector 13. Head constable Mohan Lal had parked his car outside the colony and was walking into his apartment when someone called his name. There was a group of 10-12 men waiting for him near the gate and they started hitting the cop.
