Varun Dhawan and Ileana D’Cruz steal the show at Kirori Mal College’s annual cultural fest, Renaissance, in Delhi

In the post-event of Kirori Mal College's annual cultural fest, Renaissance '14, Main Tera Hero stars Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz paid a visit to the college. The event, according to Jashvender Chauhan, the college president, saw a crowd of over 4,000 students - not just from North Campus, but from South, too - turned up just to get a glimpse of the stars.

Ridhima Chauhan from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College and Siddhant Sharma from Shyam Lal College said, "Hum yahan 10.30am se khade hain. Bahut garmi hai; par yeh log roz-roz thodi na aate hain!" Some star-crazy students even climbed trees and fences to get a better view of the celebs. While the organizers had a team of more than 20 bouncers and assistance from Delhi Police to control the crowd, Varun and anchor Bharat Jain also requested the crowd to not get too pushy.

When the stars finally reached KMC, Varun greeted the crowd with some dance steps to the tune of a song from his film. "Promotion ke liye hum bahut jagah gaye hain - Lucknow, Indore, Gujarat; par jab Delhi aaye hain toh seedha dil mein laga hai," said Varun. "Aap logon ne dekha hoga ki maine Comedy Nights With Kapil mein The Rock ki mimicry kari thi. Par Delhi ke liye main special mimicry karna chahta hoon. Because my father is from this place," he added, and proceeded to repeat his act from the TV show!

The stars picked a few students from the crowd, who got to get on the stage to meet them. While one of the girls planted a kiss on Varun's cheek, all the selected boys said 'I love you' to Ileana, and one of them even extended a marriage proposal to her. "Yeh meri doosri picture hai, aur maine itna crowd, itna pyaar kabhi expect nahi kia tha," said an overwhelmed Varun and thanked the principal SP Gupta and staff advisor SP Tripathi. "Aapne students ko jo protsahan dia hai, uske baad lagta hai ki Amitabh Bachchan ke baad, is college se aur bade actors bhi niklenge," said a hopeful Gupta.
