Delhi University website crashes on the first day of admissions; North campus witnesses rush for OMR forms

NEW DELHI: Although Delhi University started its online registration process for the undergraduate admissions at midnight on Monday, the website crashed. This is not the first time but third consecutive year when aspirants faced problems in online registration process.

""I was thinking of registering from the comfort of home to beat the heat outside. But then forced to come to Gargi college as the website is not functioning,"" said Aakriti Sinha, a commerce aspirants.

Although it was a slow start at the 18 designated colleges in the morning, sale of forms picked up later in the day. North campus centers witnessed rush. Rush lead to chaos in Daulat Ram college. But it was better managed at SGTB Khalsa college which arranged tents and refreshment anticipating the heat. Sale of centralized admission forms to continue till June 16, 2014.
