12 injured as 2 groups clash in west Delhi

NEW DELHI: Two groups clashed at a market in Swaroop Nagar area of northwest Delhi after a biker met with an accident on Saturday night. Twelve people were injured in the incident, police said.

The incident was reported around 9pm in Sandhya Market. The argument allegedly turned nasty when a man from one of the groups passed a comment. The police rushed to the spot and found people attacking each other with sticks and bats. The groups also damaged several shops and some vehicles. Police had to use mild force to dispersing the crowd.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they are recuperating. A case has been registered
