NEW DELHI: A massive fire broke out early on Monday at Rama Building in Delhi's Connaught Place area.

Fire tenders are at work and so far, no casualties have been reported. Fire officials have sent 20 fire tenders to control the blaze.

The blaze which was caused apparently out of a short circuit at around 8am spread to an adjacent business centre.

"Fifteen fire tenders are at the spot. The situation is under control. No casualties have been reported so far," said deputy chief fire officer Vipin Kental.

"There is a fitness centre above the office on the second floor. People there saw smoke and informed the fire department," he said.

Fire officials said that no one was injured as the offices were shut in the morning hours.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
