Juvenile kills man from rival gang, held

NEW DELHI: A juvenile has been apprehended for shooting a member of the Neeraj Bawana-Naveen Bali gang seven times along with another man. The juvenile is said to be a member of a rival gang.

On April 28, a man named Ravinder was found dead with multiple bullet injuries, near a drain in Bawana. "A team led by DCP Bhisham Singh and ACP K P S Malhotra apprehended the accused. His identity and age is being verified," said Ashok Chand, additional CP (crime).

Police claimed that the boy confessed to the crime during interrogation and also admitted that he and another minor were told to shoot Ravinder.

Police said the recent trend shows that gangs send juveniles to commit heinous crimes because they get lesser sentences.
