Cab rape case: Uber CEO summoned by Delhi police

NEW DELHI: A day after an FIR was registered againt Uber Cabs, Delhi police have summoned Uber's Asia Pacific head Eric Alexander to join the probe in the rape case on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior police officials said that the Uber official will be questioned on the standard operating proceedures and the process of verifying the antecedents of drivers.

The cops have asked him to carry all the documents related to the operations of the company in Delhi.

Uber officials have assured all possible assistance to the Delhi Police as well, an official confirmed.

Meanwhile, the cops have also recovered the I-phone 4S issued to the accused by the company and have sent for forensic examinations.
