NEW DELHI: In an apparent attack on AAP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that "there are "masters" of lies who will be defeated by public only".

Without naming Kejriwal or his party, Modi, launching BJP's poll campaign for Delhi assembly elections, said that if the AAP leader wants to be an "anarchist" as he has claimed to be, he should go to jungles to join naxals as Delhi cannot have anarchy. Kejriwal had said about a year ago that he is an "anarchist".

During his 30-minute address, PM Modi suggested that Kejriwal has "mastery" in "lies" and dharnas and protests and should be given that role only and that power should be given to BJP which has "mastery" in administration.

At a rally at Ramlila Maidan attended by all three new BJP chief ministers of Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand, Modi sought a clear mandate for his party to ensure allround development and create a "new" Delhi.

Delhi, which is under President's Rule, is expected to have assembly polls next month.

PM promises 24-hour power supply to Delhi

Prime Minister said people here will be given an option of choosing their power service provider on the lines of mobile number portability and pledged to make Delhi slum-free by 2022.

Promising 24-hour power supply to Delhi, Modi said he will rid the city of generators which will also ensure a cleaner environment. "We will shut the voice of generators in Delhi. It will also help clean up the air by reducing poisonous gases."

Assuring to end water woes in Delhi, he said BJP-ruled Haryana has promised to provide more water to Delhi after Central intervention.

He also promised to usher in a corruption-free system, saying it has been started at the top and gradually it will reach down to colonies.

Committing to provide a corruption-free society, Modi said he already commenced the cleansing from the top and asked if anyone has heard any complaint about him ever since he took over as Prime Minister some seven months back.

"Trust me, I will clean up the system. I have started from the top and I will take it to the bottom. People take money from auto drivers, shopkeeper, the poor people...It will all stop," the Prime Minister said.

Reaching out to the vast slum population, he promised to replace the slums with concrete houses by 2022, saying "your dream is my dream." He said steps have already been initiated in this regard by the Urban Development Ministry.

Bringing back black money complex issue: Amit Shah

Under attack on the black money issue, BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday said government has taken a number of steps and disclosed 700 names to the SIT even though it is a "complex" issue with international treaties coming in the way of acting against offenders.

He also attacked the opposition for stalling key legislations in Parliament but asserted that all their attempts to stop the country from the path of development would prove futile and they would be "mistaken" in doing so.

"Bringing back black money is a very complex issue. It is not alone in the hands of India to bring back black money stashed abroad, as several international treaties are coming in the way.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created an atmosphere on the black money issue across the world and created a consensus among various nations to act on the menace. I assure you that once the international treaties are sorted out, BJP will succeed in giving appropriate punishment to offenders," Shah said addressing a public rally in Delhi.

He also said that soon after coming to power, the BJP-led government in its first Cabinet meeting constituted an SIT on black money and provided the names of 700 account holders to it, an act not done by the previous regime for the last many years.

Attacking the opposition for stalling Parliament and stopping key legislations, Shah said, "If opposition thinks it can stall the development agenda by disrupting Rajya Sabha, then they are mistaken."

He said BJP will not allow the opposition to stop the government from ushering in development and has brought in Ordinances, including those on Coal block allocations, Land Acquisition Bill, FDI in Insurance and Mining sector.

Shah also touted the government's achievement in passing a key law to regularise unauthorised colonies in the national capital, a promise fulfilled by the BJP made during the last assembly elections.

The BJP chief called upon the people of Delhi to ensure victory of the party by bringing in Narendra Modi's "Victory Chariot" to Delhi, after the party achieved unprecedented victories in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls.

Slamming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he charged that it has created a "record of telling lies" and for "cheap marketing" by presenting itself to be a party of common people.

Vote for PM Modi if you want development: BJP CMs

Newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief ministers urged the citizens of Delhi on Saturday to vote in favour of the lotus when assembly elections are held so that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can accomplish the development goals of the nation.

"The Centre has helped a lot in developing Mumbai. Prime Minister Modi has started the politics of trust and development in the country. I want to ask the people in Delhi if they want progress or not. If they do, then they should vote for the BJP as Prime Minister Modi will take them ahead on the development path," said Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das said the BJP was the only party where even a labourer could become chief minister.

"Jharkhand will reach new heights under the leadership of Narendra Modi. I am grateful to all of you that you elected a labourer as the chief minister of Jharkhand. BJP is the only party where even a common labourer can be elected to govern a state. I would like to appeal to the people of Delhi to make the party win if they want development," said Das.

Haryana chief minister M L Khattar said, "This is the first time that the BJP has won by a majority in Jharkhand, and Haryana is finally moving towards the path of development. The development of Delhi is not possible without Haryana and Haryana's progress is not possible without Delhi. We are moving forward with each other's support."

Earlier, Khattar, Fadnavis and Raghubar Das were felicitated at the Ramlila Maidan.
