Early on the counting day, Kejariwal's wife Sunita reached AAP office, where Arvind hugged her and offered sweets. The couple, in the afternoon returned home in Kaushambi, where competitive electronic media persons, hundreds of supporters were already eagerly waiting. Arvind greeted the supporters and then somehow managed to enter his flat in Girnar apartment in Kaushambi.

"As bhabhi (Arvind's wife Sunita) entered AAP office. Arvind hugged her and offered sweets. There was no formality. Shine of happiness could be seen their eyes. I am sure that Arvind will deliver quality work in Delhi," said Dr Vipin Mittal, a family friend and Arvind's family doctor since 1995.

Delhi's would be CM present residence address is flat number 403, Girnar apartment in Kaushambi. The Girnar Tower is owned by the income tax department and the apartment is allotted to Kejriwal's wife Sunita, who works there.

The income tax officer-turned-activist-turned-politician, Arvind Kejriwal lives with his wife, two children and parents. The flat having three bedroom with total covering area of 1600 sq. feet.

Local residents, supporters from Delhi-NCR and other parts of India gathered outside Girnar apartment. Entire area was loaded in celebrations mood. People carrying banners and posters of Kejariwal were raising pro-AAP slogans. Some of supporters wore masks of Kejriwal. A family, which hails from east Delhi, dressed like Kejariwal and was celebrating the AAP win in Delhi elections. "It is a win of Aam Aadmi. I took an off from my job and reached with my family to celebrate the historic moment, in which AAP tsunami vanished all other national parties," said Jitender Kumar, who dressed like Kejariwal.

Local chaiwallah, juice seller, vegetable seller etc also cheered Arvind. "Earlier Arvind ji and Sunita bhabhi used to take a walk daily. But due to his hectic schedule, it has been months seeing them together for morning walk. When Arvind ji comes, he is surrounded by party workers," Ajay Jha, a tea vendor near Girnar Tower said. Jha said that Kejariwal is a devoted person for the society and too busy fighting for ordinary people like him.

Like Jha, other vendors in the area — a tailor, a juice vendor, a vegetable seller — are all full of praise for Kejariwal.

They have also another reason to cheer as with the winning of Delhi elction, their sales have also gone up. "Our business is flourishing as the area is all the time surrounded by workers, supporters, journalists and onlookers," said Mahmood, another tea seller.

On Tuesday, as AAP staked its claim for power in New Delhi, residents in Kaushambi recalled how Kejriwal had mulled a pilot project for swaraj in the city, ultimately aimed at local self-governance. Fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with Kaushambi Apartments' RWAs (KARWA), Kejriwal had successfully coaxed authorities to undertake civic works including roads, drainage and sewerage systems. Through a series of RTI queries in 2006, Kejriwal had unearthed false expenses shown by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation towards developing basic infrastructure for the city.

Sadana, who is fighting against odds and corruption with Kejariwal for the last one decade said, "Kejariwal also has a plan for UP-NCR but it will be further discussed and executed after his oath taking ceremony. Kejriwal needs god"s blessings and mental support from the public. Performing hawan, will be a little contribution from Kaushambians."

UP-NCR pins hope that the wave of change would leave positive impact on these two districts, who are reeling under poor governance and anti-industrial environment. Gautambudh Nagar and Ghaziabad are fed up with the poor performance of UP government and the residents, industrialists and real estate giants of these two regions are waiting for change.

On Tuesday morning, security in and around Girnar apartment was beefed up. Indirapuram police station in-charge and deputy superintendent of police Atul Yadav was deployed at Girnar apartment with heavy police force. "UP police have already given Z category security to Arvind Kejriwal. On Tuesday, security in and around his residence in Girnar appartment increased. We have deployed 30 police personnel up to sub-inspector level. We will continue our security till Kejriwal lives in Ghaziabad," said Atul Yadav, deputy superintendent of police Ghaziabad.
