NEW DELHI: Family members of a 45-year-old man, who died after being hit by a rashly driven DTC bus, have been awarded a compensation of around Rs 18 lakh by a Motor Accident Claims Tribunal.
MACT presiding officer Manish Gupta asked United India Insurance Company Ltd, insurer of the bus, to pay Rs 17,70,056 to the family of Ghaziabad resident Prem Kumar Sharma, who died in January 2012 in Sahibabad area.
