Delhi government relaunches anti-corruption helpline number

NEW DELHI: Delhi government has launched its renewed anti-corruption helpline. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the 24x7 helpline at a packed Talkatora stadium on Sunday.
The number - 1031 - will be manned through a call centre where identity and details of the complainant will be kept confidential.

In a unique launch Kejriwal made call to the helpline number as a complainant and took the crowd through the process. The dummy complaint was launched amidst applause from a very enthusiastic crowd.
Earlier today, Kejriwal had tweeted regarding the same, inviting people to attend the launch.

"Delhi govt launches its anti-corruption helpline today. Do join us at 3 pm at Talkatora stadium. All r invited," said Kejriwal in the tweet.

The party had announced that the number '1031' will be operational on Sunday onwards and help in curbing corruption in the city.

The helpline has undergone a makeover and can now attend 10,000 calls per day compared to just 1,000 last time.
