Delhi Police recovers rifles from a plot belonging to ex-MLA Shokeen

NEW DELHI: Delhi police special cell has recovered an AK 47 assault rifle and a self loading rifle from a plot purportedly belonging to ex-MLA Rambir Shokeen who contested assembly elections on Congress ticket.

Special CP SN Shrivastava confirmed the recovery of weapons. "A team led by DCP Sanjeev Yadav has been interrogating Bawana. He has unveiled the secret places where he had hidden his weapons etc," Shrivastava said.

Arrested most wanted gangster Neeraj Bawana took the cops to the plethora of weapons. "He is now being questioned about his plans to use these deadly weapons," DCP Yadav said.

The assault rifles were looted from Uttarakhand police when Bawana executed UP gangster Amit Bhura's escape.
