NEW DELHI: Traffic congestion is expected in some parts of south Delhi on Sunday due to a mini marathon organised by a media organisation. The marathon will be flagged off from Thyagraj Stadium at 7am on Sunday, said traffic cops. A large number of participants are expected to reach the venue via metro and private cars.
"General traffic movement would be affected on approaches and surroundings of Thyagraj Stadium, particularly Safdarjung flyover and its loop on Aurobindo Marg, Gangnath Marg, Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh Marg, Chandu Lal Balmiki Marg and Barapullah elevated corridor," said joint commissioner of police (traffic) Satyendra Garg.
Cops have advised motorists to avoid these routes and take alternate routes on Lodhi Road and Fourth Avenue to reach Barapullah elevated corridor and vice-versa between 6am-10am.
