Leaking LPG catches fire, six injured

NOIDA: Six members of a family, including three children aged 3 to 7 years, were seriously injured when a fire broke out due to LPG cylinder leak in their house in Noida. Fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the fire.

Police said the house located in a village was engulfed in flames when Rajesh Kumar (40) lit a match stick in the kitchen without realizing that gas was leaking from the cylinder. The injured have been identified as Rajesh (40), Meena (30), Aarti (17), Ankit (7), Amit (5) and Varsha (3).

The injured were taken to the district hospital but were referred to Safdurjung hospital in Delhi as their condition was serious. Rajesh and Ankit are critical as they have got maximum burn injuries.
