Two arrested for killing 24-year-old

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old was shot dead and his brother seriously injured by a group of criminals who barged into their house, dragged the two of them to the road and thrashed them before firing a pistol at them in northeast Delhi's Nand Nagri. Police suspect personal rivalry as the motive of the murder. Two men have been arrested.

The deceased has been identified as Mohd Kayamuddin (25) and his brother as Mohd Imran (28). The two stayed with their parents in B-block in Nand Nagri. Family members said a neighbour named Monu had allegedly taunted one of their sisters a few days ago.

The family registered a complaint with police following which Monu apologized. On Thursday night around 9pm, Kayamuddin and Imran were chatting outside their house when they spotted Monu and got into an argument with him. Monu then called up a few of his friends to "teach them a lesson". Two of the four accused, identified as Vicky and Deepak, were arrested. Police said they are being questioned to procure the whereabouts of the two others.
