Firing outside Israeli establishment in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar

NEW DELHI: Unidentified men in an Innova SUV fired outside a house where some Israelis have been living in VasantVihar area of south Delhi on Saturday night. Sources say cartridges have been recovered and that they were fired in the air.

Though cops say the residents are not diplomats but some of those who lived there worked for the Israeli embassy. South district police and special cell is probing the matter.

Israel embassy spokesperson Ohad said, "An incident of firing happened here last night. I request you to direct your questions to Delhi police. We trust their probe."

Security has been enhanced in embassies across the capital and a case has been registered at Vasant Vihar police station.
