Govt aid for university students

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has invited applications for scholarships/reimbursement of half of the tuition fee from socially and economically backward students of non-technical professional courses.

The Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust of Directorate of Higher Education has asked students to apply for the scholarship for 2013-14. Students from universities across the capital are eligible.

Applicants should have annual family income, from all sources, of up to Rs 2 lakh, with 60% marks, no back papers and at least 70% attendance. Last date for submitting the application is October 15.

Applications can be sent to the principal/director of the university/college/institute. The application form and format, to be filled by the head of institute, is available on the directorate's website
