The police was informed about the body of the woman lying inside her house early Saturday. A team led by SHO Anil Sharma rushed to the spot, along with crime and forensic teams. The body of the woman, Saima (25), had several stab wounds. Her husband, Fareed, had absconded but was later arrested.
On being questioned, he confessed to the crime. He told the police that he was angry over their everyday arguments and also suspected his wife of having an affair. On early Saturday, he picked up a pair of scissors, stabbed his wife multiple times and fled, he told the police. The police have registered a case of murder against the husband.
This is the second such incident reported in a week. Another woman was murdered by her husband in the Mayur Vihar area two days ago after she stopped him from drinking, police said.
