The incident was reported from central Delhi's Lok Nayak colony on Thursday night. The child was recovered from the area hours after it was taken away by the man, police said.
Sonu (40), a rickshawpuller in Daryaganj, had an affair with the woman, who lived with her five children in the colony. She had got divorced a month back. On Thursday night, he had an argument with the woman after she refused to marry him. He took the child sleeping beside her and fled. The woman registered a complaint at the police station near Lok Nayak Hospital.
Police said the child was found in Sonu's house. A case under sections of kidnapping was registered against Sonu.
