Traffic jams in Delhi due to Anna's agitation

NEW DELHI: Traffic jams have been reported from parts of central Delhi on Tuesday morning after thousands of supporters of activist Anna Hazare marched towards Jantar Mantar from the Badarpur border.

Congestion have been reported from Connaught Place, Mandi House, Minto Road, ITO, Ring Road, Mathura Road and parts of Vikas Marg as well.

Police officials expect more than 10,000 people to march towards Anna's protest venue at Jantar Mantar. Traffic officials say that the protesters are being guided to follow a single lane.

"We have deployed additional personnel along the route being taken by the supporters. Diversions are being made wherever possible," said a traffic officer.
