AAP lokpal faces heat

NEW DELHI: Speculation was rife on Thursday that a section of AAP leadership was upset with the party's internal lokpal, Admiral L Ramdas, for writing a letter last month criticizing the leadership.

Reports suggested some members felt Ramdas had over-stepped his brief though this was denied by AAP. "The party holds Admiral Ramdas in high esteem and appreciates his role as an impartial lokpal,'' a party statement said.

In a letter to the political affairs committee, Ramdas had noted that two camps were emerging within the top leadership and had asked the party to consider the "one-man, one-post" arrangement.
