Apeejay Stya and Svran Group organises second edition of Dr Stya Paul Memorial Lecture in Delhi

The second edition of Dr Stya Paul Memorial Lecture was organized by Apeejay Stya and Svran Group in the capital recently. The lecture was addressed by Dr Rami Ranger, chairman of Sun Mark Ltd at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai. Dr Ranger is an entrepreneur and a socio-political reformer. He has been awarded with the Queens' Award for Enterprise for five years running and he has been honoured on seven occasions, six times for business and once for community service. Last year this lecture series was instituted by Sushma Paul Berlia, the chairperson of the group in memory of her father Dr Stya Paul.

Addressing the theme of entrepreneurship and nation building, Dr Ranger said, "Being a first generation entrepreneur and having stood up to many challenges, I salute the undaunted entrepreneurial spirit of Dr Stya Paul and his contribution to strengthening the social fabric. I also laud the efforts of Sushma Paul Berlia for successfully taking ahead her father's legacy."

Sushma Paul Berlia, said in her address, "My father recognized the great role that entrepreneurs could play towards nation-building. He rose from a humble background in times when entrepreneurs found little support. He did so by creating an environment of commitment, values and integrity and went on make the group a globally recognized name with a social commitment of Apeejay Education Society and Apeejay Stya University - the first liberal arts university in India." The second edition of lecture series was attended by Nishant Berlia, Aditya Berlia and Neha Berlia of the group.
