Four arrested for extortion bid on bizman

NEW DELHI: A south Delhi businessman's neighbour, who hatched a conspiracy to extort money from him, has been arrested along with three accomplices. The four have been identified as Satish (37), Amit Kumar (30), Sunil Kumar (30) and a woman working at the man's house in Vasant Vihar. The woman had been working there for the last ten years.

The complainant told police he had been receiving extortion calls on his mobile. The caller, one 'Shera Bhai', demanded Rs 50 lakh. During investigations, it was learnt that the calls were being made from a PCO in Noida. The police asked the complainant to negotiate with the caller. They laid a trap and arrested two men from the spot. On the basis of information given by the duo, the rest were arrested.
