Register at Jamia from Monday

NEW DELHI: The Academic Council of Jamia Millia Islamia in its meeting on Friday approved implementation of the choice-based credit system, to be introduced from the 2015-16 academic session. The council also approved the admission policy for this year. Admissions are going completely online—right from registration to the issue of admit card.

Applications open at Jamia on April 13, 2015. The last date is May 1. The university is starting a new masters programme—MSc biophysics. Those interested must now apply via the web portal, www.jmi.ac.in/onlineadmissionform. There will be no option of offline application forms this year.

Under CBCS, the university is introducing an optional paper on Northeast studies for undergraduates. Students will be able to study one semester at a different university and earn credits.
