Man arrested for raping businesswoman

NEW DELHI: A man was arrested for allegedly raping a business associate inside a car near Sarita Vihar. The woman, who owns a garments business in Uttar Pradesh, had come to Delhi to finalize a deal with a businessman and had got acquainted with the accused there, police said. The man was arrested on Sunday night on the basis of the complaint registered by the woman

The incident was reported on Friday night by the 35-year-old survivor who alleged that Bhola (40) got acquainted to her at a garments shop in Seelampur a few months ago. She said that she runs a garment shop in Hathras with her husband and often had to come to Delhi to buy stocks from the wholesale markets

She alleged that Bhola offered to drive her around to show her goods. On Friday when she had come to Delhi, he offered her a lift. He promised to drop her at Gandhi Nagar market but took her to a secluded spot and raped her in the car.
