NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old had an entire police station on its toes after he executed the kidnapping of a 12-year-old single-handedly in east Delhi's Mandawali on Monday. He not only took care of his hostage, feeding him regularly at a gurdwara, but also changed the location of ransom calls.

The child's father, Seeshpal, a mason, had reported his son missing since afternoon. Seeshpal said he received a ransom call from a PCO asking him to leave Rs 50,000 at Sarai Kale Khan bus depot.

Seeshpal, along with plainclothesmen, reached the spot on Tuesday and found no one. He received another call asking him to come to Ghaziabad border on Wednesday. The boy initially tried to mislead police saying he had also been kidnapped and left there. He later confessed he worked in Millennium Depot but lost his job, Ajay Kumar, DCP, East, said.
