DU poll schedule out

NEW DELHI: The schedule for the elections of the Delhi University Students' Union and members of the central council for 2014-15 was announced on Tuesday. The DU elections will be conducted on September 12, 2014.

The election committee, which met on Tuesday, decided on the election schedule. The last date for filing of the nominations is September 3, 2014 till 3pm. On the same day, at 5 pm, the list of nominated candidates will be issued. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is September 5 till 12 noon and; on the same day at 5pm, the final list of candidates will be issued. The date, time and venue for counting of votes and declaration of results haven't been scheduled.

Earlier, professor D S Rawat, department of chemistry, was appointed the chief election officer.
