NEW DELHI: The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) is holding a strike on Tuesday to protest the sacking of two teachers from Hindu College.

Delhi University has done its best to scuttle the strike; the registrar, invoking a high court order, the UGC's directions on "no work, no pay," and the DU's code of professional ethics, has written to deans, principals and heads of departments to "initiate measures that shall ensure that there is no violation. "

A student organization, Krantikari Yuva Sangathan has already declared its support to DUTA. Teachers and other supporters will gather at Arts Faculty at 11 am from where they intend to march to the VC's office.
